In such a situation, the shop of ‘Harnarayan’ in Khari Baoli of Delhi is considered to be the first shop of this industry. Means, since 1940, she is distributing the chatkara of her taste among the people. People of many states are very fond of its product. The special thing is that the method of selection and preparation of their spices is their specialty.

The owner of the shop ‘Bharat Arora’ told that his shop is from 1940. The shop is named after his grandfather and great grandfather. He further told that he was the first producer of pickles and marmalade in the country and North India.

Explaining about the making of pickle and its taste, he said that it is all about adding some spices before and after. The vegetables are pre-mixed with turmeric and salt. Fennel seeds, celery, fennel and cumin seeds are put later according to the type of pickle. Describing about marmalade, said that there is nothing special in it, just marmalade is made according to each fruit.

Products can be ordered even sitting at home

Here you will find six types of carrot, gooseberry, bitter gourd, red chili, green chili, jackfruit, lemon, mango pickle and mix pickle in pickles. In this also you will find many more varieties here. You will get amla, carrot, apple, bamboo and vine marmalade here. Here pickles will be available from Rs.160 to Rs.300 per kg and marmalade from Rs.180 to Rs.350 per kg. You can also order their pickle and marmalade from Amazon, Porter and Parcel.

To reach their shop, you have to get down at Chandni Chowk metro station from the yellow metro line. Coming out of gate number 5, coming towards Khari Boli, you will find this shop at some distance. This shop remains open 6 days a week and remains closed on Sundays. You can come here anytime between 10:30 am to 7:30 pm.
